Conditions there were not good for him so he was then transferred to Thornbury House, Dunedin which he enjoyed. A private cremation took place and the planting of ashes with Tony's was held on the 20th July 2004. Present at the planting of the Ashes were Ailsa Corlett, June Faid and Sandra Sutherland.
