The first shop they had was at 328 Great King Street, Dunedin; the second at The Garden's Corner, 25 Main Road, North East Valley and final shop was at 91 Albany Street, near the Plecia Bay Station.
Trade fell off after the beginning of WW1, and the shop had to be closed down after the Plecia Bay Station was closed. This was about 1917.

The family then moved to 29 Princes Street, St Kilda.
