9677 Fawcett was a bit eccentric, he was also known as 'BUN' because of the hat that he wore.
He was somewhat gullible and once put a cardboard Kangaroo on the end of his television aerial to stop getting interference from Aussie stations.
He used Marine Dept Blue Paint to paint the family home at 17 Queen Street, Westport.
He also used it to paint the family graves in the Orowaiti Cemetery.

Passed away peacefully on Friday Nov 20, 2015 at Te Omanga Hospice, Lower Hutt; aged 37 years. Dearly loved wife of Bryan, and mother of Zachary and Paige. Dearly loved daughter of Margaret and Kevin, and sister of Jacinda. A special Aunty, Sister in Law and a cherished friend. A special thank you to the countless medical professionals who helped Melissa over the last 3.5 years, especially the staff at the Wellington Blood & Cancer Centre, and the staff at Te Omanga Hospice. In lieu of flowers a donation to Te Omanga Hospice, or to Kidscan would be appreciated and may be left at the service. A funeral service will be held at Cornwall Manor, cnr Knights Road and Cornwall Street, Lower Hutt on Wednesday Novemeber 25, at 2pm

After all funeral expensies and debts etc be paid, Robert then lists details of land and goods and funds to various family members.
