  	DALBY December 6 There were many expressions of regret when it became known that Corporal Donald J Gillanders, who was on his way to the Front, had died as the result of an attack of illness. Corporal Gillanders was the eldest son of Mr John Gillanders, of Enfield, near Bowenville, and enlisted about March. He sailed from Brisbane about October 22 with reinforcements. The late Corporal Gillanders, who was about 26 years of age, was a member of St Thomas's Presbyterian Church, and a member of the committee of management.
