"The Famous Diggers" |
- Will Crawford was part of Pat Hanna's Famous Diggers - which was formed after the war. Pat had a troupe of Digger Pierrots which entertained the NZ soliders and this later went on to tour Australia as the Famous Diggers.
I have found that Will Crawford, was quite an actor before he joined the group and a large farewell concent was given to him at the Wellington Town Hall on 23rd March 1920. Will also performed in this concert.
Will was part of Pat Hanna's sketches of "Chic and Bert" of which Pat played Chic and Will played Bert.
This was later changed to "Chic and Joe" after Will had to leave due to sickness.
